It is very challenging to have a healthy relationship with a narcissist, as they tend to be highly self-centered, lack empathy, and have a need for control and admiration. Narcissists often struggle with interpersonal relationships because their focus is on their own needs and desires, rather than on their partner’s well-being.
However, it is important to note that there is a spectrum of narcissism, and some individuals may exhibit narcissistic traits without having a full-blown personality disorder. In these cases, it may be possible to have a healthy relationship with the individual if they are willing to acknowledge and work on their issues.
In general, though, it is important to set boundaries and take care of oneself when in a relationship with a narcissist. This may involve limiting contact, seeking therapy to address any emotional trauma, and developing a support system of friends and family. Ultimately, it is up to the individual to determine what is best for them and their well-being.
